As part of the CBSE SEWA (Social Empowerment through Work Education and Action) Programme, our school had the privilege of collaborating with the Howrah Police Commissionerate on 8th November,2025 to support “Barandaye Roddur” (Sunshine on the Veranda) — a transformative initiative where civic volunteers and women police officers teach underprivileged children daily from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Women Police Station, Howrah.
In this unique classroom without walls, sunlight and syllables replace street corners and silence. It is a space where education offers hope, dignity and a brighter future. This noble initiative was envisioned and implemented by Mr.Praveen Kumar Tripathi, IPS (Commissioner of Police, Howrah Police Commissionerate).
